The many benefits of giving back

Stanford’s employee give-back program is expanding – offering more ways for employees to engage

The Cardinal at Work Cares program offers many ways to give back on campus and beyond, including options for remote employees. The program is expanding this year, and the donation drive is returning in-person for the first time since the pandemic began.

It’s a win-win: Give back for your wellness and the community

By giving back, not only are you helping the community, but you’re also benefiting yourself. Studies have shown that volunteering and contributing to your community positively impacts your health. It reduces stress and increases positive emotions, decreasing your risk for physical and mental health conditions. Plus, it offers the opportunity to connect with others who share your interests, develop and share skills, and build a shared sense of altruism.

Get started before the Nov. 30 BeWell program deadline

Don’t miss out – with donation drives happening across campus throughout November, now is the time to get involved. Visit Cardinal at Work to learn more about how you can get started.
