Virtual Cooking Class – Comforting Winter Soups

With the short days and cold weather, winter is the perfect time to cozy up with a warm, delicious bowl of soup. Join us for a lively and engaging virtual cooking class, where you will learn how to prepare a savory vegetarian soup that will nourish you from the inside out with anti-inflammatory ingredients.

You will learn practical tips to bring evidence-based nutrition into your cooking while preparing a warm, hearty soup and delicious sides that are skin, mood, and brain-boosting. Cook along with the instructor in your home kitchen and end the class with a satisfying meal to share with your loved ones. Ingredient substitutions will be demonstrated or suggested to accommodate most dietary needs and preferences. The recipes, including ingredients and equipment needed, will be sent out with your confirmation email so you’ll have time to shop for ingredients in advance.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants. Attend the live session or listen to the recording within one week to receive incentive points.

Instructor: Lisa Roberts Hurd, MPhil, is a culinary archaeologist committed to advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health & Well-Being through food. Features include NASDAQ, The Huffington Post, and Cherry Bombe, among many others. She holds degrees from Oxford University, Tufts University and The French Culinary Institute.
