SPEAKER BIOS:

Stacy Sims, PhD, is a forward-thinking international exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist aiming to revolutionize exercise, nutrition, and performance for women. She has directed research programs at Stanford, AUT University, and the University of Waikato, focusing on female athlete health and performance and pushing the dogma to improve research on all women. She currently holds a Senior Research Associate position with SPRINZ-AUT University, is a member of the Stanford Lifestyle Medicine team, and serves on the advisory board of several cutting-edge companies. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, is a regular speaker at professional and academic conferences, and gave the "Women Are Not Small Men” TEDx talk. She has also written the books ROAR (which explains sex differences in training and nutrition) and LEVEL UP – Your guide to kicking ass, feeling great, and crushing goals through menopause and beyond.

Karen Adams, MD, OB-GYN, is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University, Director of the Menopause and Healthy Aging program, a faculty affiliate of the Center on Longevity, and on the Advisory Board of the Women's Health and Sex Differences Center. She is doubly board-certified in both OB-GYN and Lifestyle Medicine and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and a fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. She has been practicing for over 30 years with focused expertise on menopause management, female sexual dysfunction treatment, and lifestyle medicine. She is widely regarded as a menopause expert and educator nationally and internationally, including delivering a popular TEDx talk: Sleep, Sex and Menopausal Zest.
