Journaling for Emotional Processing

Writing down your thoughts and feelings has been found to reduce stress, improve mood, and even improve immune function. Journaling regularly can help us to understand and manage our emotions and then to choose actions that align with what we really want.

If you’ve always wanted to start a journaling practice, are struggling to stay consistent with your practice, or are simply curious about what journaling is all about, then this class is for you. Over four online sessions, we will explore how journaling can be a useful tool for emotional processing and practical tips you can use to bring this practice into your daily life.

You will get specific journaling prompts to do in class and out of class, as well as some step-by-step processes to specifically address stressful triggers, habits you want to change, and self-criticism through writing. There will also be optional sharing in class so we can support each other and feel witnessed.

This class will not be recorded. Attendance requirement for incentive points – 3 of 4 sessions.
