We will discuss the conditions and diseases that can affect the eyes, including cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, and recommendations for screening for these conditions. We will also cover techniques for restoring vision, including LASIK and intraocular lenses, as well as new treatments for dry eyes and allergies. Instructor: Barbara Erny, MD, completed her medical school and residency training at Stanford before working at Sutter Health as a board-certified ophthalmologist for 26 years. She now works in global ophthalmology and is a faculty fellow at the Stanford Center for Innovation on Global Health and an adjunct clinical associate professor at Stanford University School of Medicine.
