Overview

As women enter mid-life and approach menopause, they can experience a unique set of symptoms that can impact their quality of life. The goal of this conference is to help providers navigate this period of transition with their patients, always through a lens of diversity with attention to social determinants of health. All speakers are Stanford leaders in various areas of women’s health, menopause, and healthy aging who will address common concerns that patients and providers share regarding this complex and often misunderstood time.

Conference attendees will gain comfort in counseling and managing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms of hot flashes, sleep disturbance, mood disturbance, brain fog, and sexual dysfunction as well as long term health concerns like osteoporosis, heart health, brain health, and cancer risk. The impact of lifestyle choices will also be addressed, including exercise and nutrition prescriptions for weight management and health promotion.
