A Culture of Wellness

BeWell, together with our campus partners, inspires Stanford community members to live healthier lifestyles. We know that when your well-being becomes a top priority, your happiness, health, productivity, family and community all  benefit.

If you are a benefits-eligible employee, no matter where you get your medical benefits, you can participate in BeWell. All benefits-eligible employees can earn up to $560 in a taxable incentive by completing the SHALA, Wellness Profile, one of four Engagement options and Berries. Spouses/registered domestic partners can earn a $220 taxable incentive for completing SHALA and the Wellness Profile. In addition to monetary incentives, participating benefits-eligible employees also receive discounted fitness classes, access to free Stanford athletic events, workshops, personal training sessions and additional perks.

Over our 12-year history, we have expanded your options and increased the BeWell Program’s flexibility: learn more about recent program developments.

The Program begins with the SHALA.
Once the SHALA is completed, you can proceed to the Wellness Profile, Engagement or Berries.

SHALA

The gateway to our program is the Stanford Health and Lifestyle Assessment (SHALA), an online health risk assessment, designed to help you understand the impact of your current lifestyle on your overall health.

Take your SHALA before starting any other Program segments.
