BeWell, together with our campus partners, embraces the mission of guiding and inspiring Stanford community members to live healthy lifestyles. No matter your age, health status or goals, you can participate in programs and activities that help you discover, embrace and hold on to what gives you a strong sense of well-being.

As we celebrate our 11th year, we are proud to say that we are offering our maximum incentive to all benefits-eligible employees, whether they elect to receive medical benefits from Stanford or another organization. In 2018, data sharing is no longer required, and all benefits-eligible employees can earn up to $560 in a taxable incentive by completing the SHALA, Wellness Profile, an Engagement option (from an expanded menu of ways to engage) and Berries. Spouses/registered domestic partners can earn a $220 taxable incentive for completing SHALA and the Wellness Profile.

In addition to monetary incentives, participating benefits-eligible employees also receive discounted fitness classes, access to free Stanford athletic events, workshops, personal training sessions and additional perks.

The gateway to our program is the Stanford Health and Lifestyle Assessment (SHALA), an online health risk assessment, designed to help you understand the impact of your current lifestyle on your overall health.
