Give Yourself the Gift of Wellness This Winter

Here are some resources and tips to help you stay focused on your well-being over the holidays, as well as exciting news about what BeWell has in store for you in 2023.

Healthy Living During the Holidays

Healthy Living is here to support you over the winter break. Get a jump-start on your 2023 BeWell points through STAP-eligible wellness apps like Headspace, Sleepio, and Weight Watchers, which will all be open for registration throughout the month of December. You can also preview the Healthy Living winter quarter wellness classes and webinars, which will open for registration on January 4, 2023. In addition, the Healthy Living Webinar Archive has more than 30 recordings from wellness experts on a variety of topics available for exploration, including four brand-new recordings:

  • Strategies for a More Joyful Holiday Season
  • Healthy Holiday Cooking and Entertaining Hacks
  • Self-Defense – Develop Understanding and Skills to Empower Yourself
  • Compassion for Self While Working with Others

Winter Wellness: A Special Time for Self-Care

The holiday season can be a busy and sometimes stressful time of year. Be sure to take advantage of this time to unplug and engage in wellness activities that nourish your soul. There are endless ways to engage in self-care over the winter break. You might:

  • Deepen your connection with a friend or family member – or with nature
  • Take a walk
  • Volunteer for a cause you care about
  • Re-discover yoga
  • Learn how to knit or read a good book
  • Try a new healthy recipe or share a family tradition

By remembering to slow down and stay mindful during the break, you will be able to start the New Year refreshed and rejuvenated.

What BeWell has in store for 2023

When we launched the BeWell platform earlier this year, we received great feedback from our participants through our Champions, coaches and customer service inquiries, and are committed to making your wellness experience even better in 2023. You can look forward to some exciting changes coming up in the New Year, including a more personalized experience, a mobile app, access to the platform in 21 different languages, and much more.

More details about the 2023 BeWell Program will be announced on January 17, when the new platform launches. In the meantime, you can view the Frequently Asked Questions for general BeWell Program information.

Reflect on Your Progress

Before you head out for winter closure, sign into the BeWell platform and download a copy of your 2022 Health Assessment. Reviewing your health assessment is not only an opportunity to reflect on how far you’ve come, but also gives you a head start on your 2023 wellness goals.

The BeWell platform will be unavailable starting Dec. 21 as we prepare for the launch of the 2023 BeWell program year, so be sure to download your assessment by Dec. 20.
