11th annual Wellness Fair

Every spring at Stanford, BeWell@Stanford and the Health Improvement Program co-sponsor a Wellness Fair. This year’s event will be held on March 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation. This year’s event theme will be "Going Green.”

At our largest fair yet, with over 50 on-campus and non-profit vendors, participants will be able to access a variety of wellness services relating to our five Berry themes:

Get Active: Free fitness demos, bouldering wall coaching, and group line dancing. Parking and Transportation Services will provide free bike tune-ups to all attendees who arrive on two wheels.
Raffle prize: $300 gift card to the Clymb.

Eat Better: Residential and Dining Enterprises and HIP will be on hand to prepare delicious, nutritious food for the event. Campus chefs in tall white toques will offer tasty food samples and recipes to make at home.  Raffle prize: $300 gift card to Munchery.

Unwind: The office of religious life will bring their Labyrinth to the Wellness Fair.  Blue Shield will also provide eight massage therapists — a record for the Fair — who will knead faculty and staff’s tired backs and shoulders.  Raffle prize: $300 gift card to the Watercourse Way Spa.

Manage Health: BeWell has increased the number of Dermascan, osteoporosis, and blood pressure testing stations to expedite the lines. Raffle prize: $400 value (gift cards including Farm Fresh to You, Visa, Starbucks & HIP classes).

Commit to Community: Sustainable Stanford and BeWell Gardens will offer attendees planted saplings in reusable containers to take home. You can pose with your colleagues and new plants at the BeWell photo booth. New green vendors this year include Farm Fresh to You, Ecomagic, National Park Service, Real Good Fish, Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, Stanford Outdoor Education and more. Raffle prize: $400 value (a KHS Brentwood hybrid bike and fitting from Stanford Bike Shop).

As always, the BeWell staff will be on hand to give away great prizes.  Visit the BeWell table to sign a pledge to reduce your use of paper coffee mugs and earn a reusable thermos.

Free shuttle service will be provided from SLAC and Porter Drive.
