We now know that well-being – and the path to it – doesn’t look the same for everyone. Well-being encompasses not only physical health but also mental, emotional, and behavioral health – as well as factors like social connectivity, building resilience, finding meaning and purpose, financial security, spirituality, and creativity.
As our understanding of well-being has evolved, so has BeWell. Today, BeWell’s offerings support the many facets of well-being. They embrace the individual’s wellness goals and provide ways for every Stanford staff and faculty member to participate fully in BeWell.
Come as you are
Everyone can benefit from BeWell activities and educational programming. Our community comprises people of all sizes and body types, a wide range of ages, and every gender identity. Many of us have visible or invisible disabilities. Some of us walk, some use mobility devices, some watch, and some listen, but we can all carve a path toward our own wellness goals.
Customize your participation
No matter your abilities, preferences, cultural influences, or life experiences – whatever makes you you, BeWell is dedicated to helping you establish and achieve your personal wellness objectives. There is no goal too large or too small. Whether you aspire to climb a mountain, improve your sleep, lower your blood pressure, plan for retirement, or expand your family, BeWell is here to support you.
You can personalize your experience in the following ways:
- Schedule a Wellness Check-in – Meet with a BeWell Coach to create a customized wellness plan that aligns with your journey and discover activities that will empower you.
- Browse the Healthy Living catalog each quarter – Explore a diverse range of resources tailored to enrich your wellness journey.
- Track the Healthy Habits that matter to you - Select the habits you wish to focus on, allowing you to take meaningful steps towards your personal health goals. Invite others to join you by participating in a healthy habit challenge together.
Choose from 21 languages – In the BeWell platform, you can access to see wellness content in your preferred language, so nothing is lost in translation.
Any benefits-eligible Stanford employee can earn enough BeWell incentive points to get maximum rewards. Not sure where to start? Try our suggested path, which includes completing our Health Assessment to establish your health baseline, followed by scheduling a Wellness Check-in with a BeWell coach to identify areas for focus. Finally, explore Healthy Living, Lifestyle Coaching, and other wellness activities to continue your wellness journey throughout the year
