Waste Sorting 101
Co-sponsored by the Stanford Office of Sustainability
We’ve all been there – frozen in front of a set of bins, not sure where waste belongs. If you are ready to take the mystery and stress out of this regular waste sorting exercise, look no further!
In this free online workshop, you will learn the difference between recycling, compost, and landfill bins and become a master of what goes where at Stanford. Your instructors will make the process fun and memorable through hands-on skill-building activities and sorting games. You will also gain an understanding of the connection between waste and climate change, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at what happens to our waste once it leaves the Stanford campus.
This class will focus on waste sorting on the Stanford University campus, but all are welcome to attend.
Attendance at the live session is required to receive incentive points. This class will not be recorded.
Request disability accommodations and access info.
Instructors: Office of Sustainability staff.
