The Mind Body Connection


Our mental and physical health are deeply connected. Thoughts and emotions can manifest physically in the body, and changes in our physical health can be taxing on our mental well-being. As such, it’s important to take care of all aspects of our health in a holistic way — from addressing conditions such as anxiety or insomnia to boosting the immune system, particularly during cold and flu season.

Join us for this noontime webinar to explore the interconnection between mind and body, as well as offer practical tips for improving one’s whole self. During the session, you will learn how physical issues can affect mental well-being and vice versa and why a strong immune system is a key defense against mental health conditions and physical ailments. You will also develop practical skills to improve both mental and physical health and increase your well-being.

Instructor: Dr. Jess Lake is the Director of Medical Affairs at Big Health, overseeing alignment of our initiatives with clinical and regulatory standards. Her expertise is in clinical and behavioral science, and she leads educational initiatives to promote awareness of Big Health’s digital solutions. Dr. Lake holds a PhD in Psychology & Neuroscience from Duke University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in translational psychology at UCLA.
