Plant-Based Diet Virtual Cooking Class

Join us for an online cooking class highlighting the nutritious power of plants. The session will begin with a brief overview of the benefits of a plant-based diet, from optimizing health and well-being to caring for our environment, as well as addressing some common concerns.

Then get busy in the kitchen as we guide you through the preparation of a simple, delicious, plant-based meal: tofu meatballs with chili lime drizzle and soba noodles, next level roasted broccoli, and miso chickpea chocolate chip cookies for dessert. There will be plenty of time to share tips and answer your questions. You will end the class with a delicious dinner as well as strategies to bring more plant-based foods into your daily life.

This is a virtual cooking class, so you will have an opportunity to cook along with the instructor during the class. The recipes, including ingredients and equipment needed, will be sent out at with your confirmation email so you’ll have time to shop for ingredients in advance. No matter if you are cooking for one or cooking for a family, the menu can be adjusted to meet your personal needs.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants.

Instructor: Reshma Shah, MD, MPH, is a board-certified pediatric physician and author of the award-winning book, Nourish: The Definitive Plant-Based Nutrition Guide for Families. She is the nutrition director for the Stanford University Pediatric Integrative Medicine Fellowship and was formerly an affiliate clinical instructor at Stanford University School of Medicine.
