Personal Strategies for Alcohol and Drug Management

There are many reasons why people drink alcohol and take drugs. Almost no one sets out to develop problems or bad habits, yet these activities often lead to negative, unintended consequences. Why is that? What does science know that can help people who consume mind and mood altering substances? Are there proven ways to maximize the benefits while minimizing the risks and harms of alcohol and drugs?

If you’d like to know more about what science has to say about the impact your drinking or drug use has on your ability to live a healthy, happy life, then this webinar is for you. We will explore the ways people use alcohol and drugs – the good things and the not-so-good things about their use – and put that alongside the latest evidence regarding known harms, personal risk factors, and neurological pathways that can lead to abuse and dependence. The aim of this class is to provide you with information to help you think about how you want to manage, or perhaps quit, your drinking or drug use, and will include practical, clinically validated strategies to help you in whatever choice you make.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants. Attend the live session or listen to the recording within one week to receive incentive points.
