Laugh Your Way to Well-Being

We can all use more laughter in our lives. Studies have shown that laughter has a number of beneficial effects on our well-being. It can release endorphins that improve your mood, reduce stress and tension, help relieve pain, and bring people closer together.

In this interactive online class, you will practice and learn about the health benefits of laughter yoga, a unique modality developed in India in 1995. Laughter yoga combines yogic breathing with laughter exercises in a playful and creative expression which can cultivate joy, imagination, and innovation.

In addition to laughter exercises, you will also be led through a gentle movement meditation in the form of basic qigong exercises and a body scan to stimulate relaxation and body awareness. No need to bring yoga mats. Ideally, you will have some privacy and a space where you can laugh without disturbing others. You will be encouraged to turn on your camera in order to interact and participate with others.

Attendance at the live session is required to receive incentive points. This class will not be recorded.
