Healthy Kitchen, Cooking Together
Research shows that families who have regular meals together are more likely to eat more nutritious foods, feel better about themselves, and feel more connected with each other. Yet actually getting a healthy meal on the table is easier said than done, especially for busy working parents.
Join us for this special virtual cooking webinar that will help you get a healthy meal on the table just in time for dinner. You’ll learn feeding guidance and tips for nurturing healthy habits for families with kids. Then roll up your sleeves and get ready to start cooking! Our Healthy Kitchen staff will guide you through a live demonstration over Zoom to cook an easy, flexible, and healthy entrée that is suitable for everyone in your family.
The recipe will be sent with your registration confirmation, so you’ll have time to shop for ingredients in advance. Ingredient substitutions will be suggested to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Feel free to involve your kids in the activity if they are age appropriate.
This class will be recorded and a temporary link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants, which will be active for one week. Stanford University benefits-eligible employees must attend the live session in order to receive BeWell incentive points.
Instructor: Rosalyne Tu, MS, RDN, has been working as a dietitian since 2003 and has been teaching the Healthy Kitchen series of classes at Stanford since 2011. She is currently a nutrition coach and instructor for BeWell’s Healthy Living program and manager of the BeWell Check-in.
Class details are subject to change.
