Healthy Kitchen, Cooking Together – Heart-Healthy Fish
The American Heart Association recommends eating fish twice a week as a way to improve heart health. Fish is an excellent source of protein and, unlike some other meat, is not high in saturated fat. In addition, research has shown that omega-3 fatty acids like those found in fish can reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.
In this virtual cooking class, you will learn the many health benefits of including fish as part of your diet. Then, fire up your kitchen to prepare a satisfying and delicious, heart-healthy pescatarian meal that you can enjoy for dinner. You’ll learn easy, hands-on techniques to bring this healthy ingredient to your table.
We will be cooking a warm fish bowl perfect for the spring season. The fish will be prepared en papillote style and served with brown rice and Asian greens. No matter if you are cooking for one or cooking for a family, the menu can be adjusted to meet your personal needs. The recipe, including ingredients and equipment needed, will be sent out with your confirmation email.
This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants.
