Cooking Healthy Holiday Treats
The holiday season is coming, and it’s time to celebrate! While it can be challenging to stay on track with your healthy habits at this time of year, there are some simple strategies for enjoying the holiday treats you love in a healthier way.
In this hands-on virtual cooking webinar, you will learn the health benefits of reducing added sugar in your diet and discuss strategies for navigating the holiday season in a healthy way, all while creating decadent holiday truffles sweetened with nutrient-dense ingredients and containing 75% less added sugar than the ones from the box.
This recipe can be made gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free so that everyone at your table can enjoy. The recipe, including ingredients and equipment needed is available in the Special Notes section of this email. Please allow time to shop for ingredients in advance.
This class will be recorded and a temporary link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants, which will be active for one week. Stanford University benefits-eligible employees must attend the live session in order to receive BeWell incentive points.
Instructor: Jennifer Tyler Lee is an award-winning author and healthy eating advocate who earned her certificate in nutrition and healthy living from Cornell University. Her book, Half the Sugar, All the Love, is co-authored with Stanford pediatrician and associate professor Dr. Anisha I. Patel.
